Hartford, CT - Reaching Connecticut’s diverse population of uninsured residents with information about Healthcare Reform requires a creative outreach strategy encompassing a wide range of interests. To target younger consumers, Access Health CT has partnered with NBC Connecticut, Telemundo, Clear Channel and Live Nation to offer a social media concert ticket sweepstakes that drives engagement and connects entrants with information about Connecticut’s healthcare exchange and the plans available.

“In addition to our traditional television, radio and online advertising, we continue to look for unique ways to reach residents, especially younger consumers, with information about Healthcare Reform,” said Jason Madrak, Chief Marketing Officer for Access Health CT. “Over the summer, our outreach team attended a number of local concerts and had great success connecting with residents, especially a younger audience. We hope to build on that success through this social media sweepstakes with our media partners.”

Tickets available through the sweepstakes include the 2014 Country MegaTicket, a series of eight country concerts the summer, Demi Lovato, Robin Thicke, Fallout Boy/Paramore, and Dave Matthews Band. To enter, simply “Like” Access Health CT on Facebook, and click the “Enter to Win” tab. Once entrants enter their name, phone number and email, they can also elect to receive updates and information via email and text messages from Access Health CT.

“During the first month of this sweepstakes, which included tickets to Pitbull, Disney on Ice, and the Harlem Globetrotters, we had more than 65,000 entries and 19,500 opt-ins via Facebook to receive information from Access Health CT about Healthcare Reform and how to shop for coverage options,” added Madrak. “Different tactics attract different audiences, which is why our marketing strategy includes social media efforts such as ticket sweepstakes and media advertising, in addition to direct consumer outreach at enrollment fairs, enrollment centers and partnerships with hundreds of community-based organizations across the state.”

Access Health CT’s “Center Stage” marketing efforts include advertising and outreach in English and Spanish, all with the goal to provide quality, affordable health care coverage to Connecticut residents. Open enrollment continues through March 31, and consumers can compare options and shop for coverage at Information regarding upcoming enrollment fairs, the enrollment centers and other in-person assistance is available at
