DANBURY, CT - Matthew G. Cassavechia, Director of Danbury Hospital Emergency Medical Services is pleased to announce that a Basic Emergency Medical Technician Course takes place at Danbury Hospital starting Tuesday, January 15, 2013. The three-month course meets every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7 to 11 p.m.; some Wednesday evenings, also, from 7 to 11 p.m. and occasional Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Course participants, patients and visitors must enter and exit Danbury Hospital through the Stroock Building Lobby located on the first floor at the Praxair Cancer Center. Parking is available in the Red Parking Garage using the Locust Avenue entrance.
Upon completion of the EMT-Basic course you will be qualified to take the National Registry exams to receive your Connecticut and National EMT-B certification.
Emergency Training Resources far exceeds the requirements for state and national EMS programs by providing you with more hands-on experience and follow-up with real world practice in the Emergency Department and on the ambulance with our EMT’s and Paramedics.
As a member of the EMS team, you can make a difference. During your EMT training, you will gain the knowledge, skills and abilities that are necessary to be a valuable part of the Emergency Health Care System.
Fee for the three-month course is $750.00, and payment must be submitted in full before the first week of the program. All students will be subject to a criminal back round check prior to the start of class. Personal check, bank check, money order or credit cards are acceptable forms of payment.
