NEW HAVEN, CT - “Beatlemania” was the theme at this year’s Hospital of Saint Raphael Crystal Ball, which raised over $88,000 to benefit the hospital and its programs. This year’s event, held on Nov. 19, 2011, was chaired by David Fusco, president and CEO of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut, the Presenting Sponsor.

The black-tie bash at Woodwinds in Branford treated party-goers to entertainment by a Beatles tribute band that transported guests back to the small clubs of Liverpool where John, Ringo, Paul and George first performed 50 years ago. Guests also took part in an auction that offered vacations, concert tickets and celebrity access and courtside seating for UConn Huskies basketball.

United Illuminating Company/Southern Connecticut Gas was a Diamond Sponsor; Emerald Sponsors included Fusco Corporation, People’s United Wealth Management, Space-Craft Manufacturing and the Knights of Columbus. Physician support was led by gifts from Connecticut Vascular Center, New Haven Radiology Associates, and Dr. John and Ellen Aversa.
