Norwalk, CT - “Childhood Immunizations " is the next topic in the Waveny Care Center and Norwalk Hospital public lecture series to be presented at Waveny Care Center in New Canaan on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 4 p.m. Vicki Smetak, MD, chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Norwalk Hospital, and Harrison Pierce, MD, pediatrician, New Canaan Pediatrics, are the featured speakers.
They will provide information on childhood immunizations and answer some of the most frequently asked questions by parents.
Dr. Smetak is a board-certified pediatrician. She received both her undergraduate and medical school education at New York University. She completed her postgraduate training in pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She underwent post-residency fellowship training in pediatric critical care medicine both at Montefiore and Yale Children’s Hospitals.
Dr. Pierce is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
After graduating from the University of Rome, Rome, Italy, he completed his internship, residency and fellowship training at New York Medical College, NY, NY.
