Danbury Hospital Diabetes Education Program Presents “The Psychology of Weight Loss”

Danbury, CT - Western Connecticut Medical Group Behavioral Medicine Specialist Dr. Andrew Tucker will present a program regarding “The Psychology of Weight Loss” on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Danbury Hospital Medical Arts Center located at 111 Osborne Street in Danbury. The program, hosted by the Danbury Hospital Diabetes Program, will take place in the second floor conference room at 7 p.m.

Making changes to one’s lifestyle is not an easy thing to do. If it was, we wouldn’t have an obesity epidemic in this country. “The Psychology of Weight Loss” program is open to anyone struggling with weight issues and/or chronic diseases such as diabetes. Attendees will learn how to manage their health in a practical manner with changes that will last a lifetime. The program will address:

Why information and awareness just aren’t enough
Why we sometimes struggle to make the right choices
What tools are needed to make long-term behavioral changes
How to maintain motivation
What “tricks” to use that will reinforce success
