Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT) met this week with the Lung Cancer Alliance (LCA), a national non-profit organization dedicated solely to providing patient support and advocacy for people living with or at risk for lung cancer.
“The Lung Cancer Alliance serves as a valuable advocate for all those touched by this terrible disease,” said Dodd. “Their hard work helps increase awareness about lung cancer and paves the way for additional innovations to ensure that our future generations are not affected by this insidious form of cancer.”
Attending the meeting was Glastonbury resident Judith Levi, the head of the Connecticut chapter of the LCA, in addition to Lung Cancer Alliance board member, lung cancer survivor, and former Secretary of Transportation Norm Mineta.
Dodd is a senior member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee.
