NEW MILFORD, CT - Patrick Broderick, MD, President of Western Connecticut Medical Group, announces the appointment of Courtney E. Chambers, MD, FACS, a general surgeon who has served patients at New Milford Hospital since 2007, specializing in minimally invasive techniques, including hernia repair and other abdominal laparoscopic surgery. Board certified in general surgery, Dr. Chambers has served as the surgical liaison to the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer for New Milford Hospital’s designation as an approved program for high-quality cancer care. He previously served as a general and breast surgeon at NorthBay Health Care and Sutter Health in northern California from 2002-2007.
Dr. Chambers is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Following his graduation from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Dr. Chambers completed an internship and residency at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, New Haven, and residency training at University of California, San Francisco, Fresno General Surgery Program.
