Michael R. Marks, MD, MBA, President of Norwalk Hospital Physicians & Surgeons (NHP&S) and Vice President of Business Development for Norwalk Hospital, is very pleased to announce that on February 1, 2014, Internal Medicine Associates of Westport (IMAW) became the latest physician group to join NHP&S.

“The changing healthcare delivery landscape is demanding closer integration across the continuum of care. Having IMAW as part of our closely aligned physician groups is an integral part of that process,” said Dr. Marks. Dr. Horn, President of IMAW, stated, “I am excited about the affiliation with NHP&S as the changes required to provide the most updated services, such as electronic medical records, the conversion to the new ICD-10 coding system and the demands for patient-centric care, all require a close alignment with a healthcare system, and joining NHP&S provides our group and our patients with the necessary resources.

Our doctors can concentrate on the day-to-day care of patients and let a larger organization deal with the administrative tasks that frequently distract doctors from patient care tasks.” IMAW's physicians are Robert Altbaum, MD; David Baum, MD; Jill Denowitz, MD; Robert Dresdner, MD; Jay Horn, MD; Nina Karol, MD; and Robert Teltser, MD.
