Hartford, CT - Juan Carlos Escalon, M.D., has joined Hartford Hospital as a thoracic surgeon.
Dr. Esaclon is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Escalon completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Yale University in New Haven, CT.
Dr. Escalon is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the General Thoracic Surgery Club, the International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and a participant in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons General Thoracic Database. Dr. Escalon has expertise in the specialties of thoracic and oncology surgery with particular interest in minimally-invasive surgery for malignant and benign diseases including video assisted vascular surgery and minimally-invasive esophagectomies.
