Norwalk, CT - As Part of a nationwide charitable program, Drs. Brenda and Erik Slovin, Chiropractic Physicians, have successfully completed a voluntary charity service day called “Doctors With A Heart” on February 12, 2013.
Drs. Slovin are members of Doctors With A Heart, Inc., a non-profit organization whose doctors volunteer their services to members of their community. The 15,000 plus member program includes dentists, orthopedists, medical doctors and chiropractors. During regular office hours, member doctors provide services at no charge to all patients.
“We were pleased to have been able to provide much needed services to the people of Norwalk and surrounding towns. We collected thousands of dollars for the Positive Young Brothers And Sisters Mentoring Program, and will continue to collect donations through the month of February.” commented Dr. Slovin. “This is our way of giving back to our community. We would like to thank everyone for their support and for helping our office get the word out about this charitable program in Norwalk.”
“Doctors With A Heart” was started in 1986 by Duane Schmidt, a dentist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The organization has been commented by former President Ronal Reagan, who called it, “an outstanding example of volunteerism at its best,” and by Dr. Leo Buscaglia, who said, “What an exciting and caring way to show people how much they matter!”
Drs. Slovin are contributing authors to the book “Neck Pain Neck Pain”, and can be seen on TV. They are located in Rainbow Plaza, 205 Main Avenue, Norwalk.
