NORWALK, CT - Mayor Richard A. Moccia and Norwalk Director of Health Tim Callahan will hold the Fifth Annual presentation of the Health Department Top Lighthouse Rating certificates at Continental Manor (112 Main Street) on Tuesday, January 8, at 4 pm. The presentation this year will recognize Continental Manor, which is among the restaurants and food establishments to receive a Top Lighthouse Rating from the Health Department.
Lighthouse ratings are based on Health Department inspections of establishments and their compliance with public health code safety and sanitary guidelines. Top Lighthouse Ratings are awarded to establishments when they receive four consecutive excellent inspection grades. In an effort to publicly recognize the commitment of these top-rated establishments to the public health code safety and sanitary guidelines, the Health Department presents them with certificates and anticipates that they will display them publicly.
The Norwalk Health Department website (www.norwalkhealth.com) includes information about these restaurant inspection standards, a list of all Top Lighthouse Rating awardees, and a search tool to view all local food service establishments’ ratings.
