Norwalk, CT - Norwalk Hospital will host its Annual Service of Remembrance for families of patients who died this past year at the hospital. The service will take place in the Richard S. Perkin Auditorium at 5:00pm on Thursday, February 28, 2013. “It will be an opportunity for people to recall their loved ones in community with others who have suffered loss,” said Rev. Debra Slade, Director of Spiritual Care at Norwalk Hospital. The hospital’s Chaplains will be available to offer support and care.

The memorial program will feature music by soloist Crystal Colbert, accompanied by Chaplain Carol Bauer and flutist Karen Prescott, all of Norwalk Hospital. With this service, Rev. Debra Slade said, “We hope to provide support for those who grieve their loved ones and recognition of the time they spent at our hospital”.

Spiritual Care involves helping people through life transitions with a “supportive” presence and an awareness of the sacred. The Department of Spiritual Care includes members of many faith traditions who minister across religious boundaries with all people.
For more information, and to RSVP if you are planning to attend the service, please call Mrs. Lashaun Brown of the Department of Spiritual Care at 203-852-2541.
