Stamford Hospital Physician named Teacher of the Year

STAMFORD, CT - Stamford Hospital’s Dr. Noel Robin has been named “Teacher of the Year” by the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons’ Class of 2013. He was selected by that class to receive their “Outstanding Teacher Award.”

Dr. Robin has received numerous honors from the Columbia medical students, including the “Teacher of the Year” award from the Classes of 2000, 2008, and 2009 as well as the Charles W. Bohmfalk Award for Excellence in Clinical Teaching from the Class of 2006.

“I am humbled and honored to have received this award from my students,” said Dr. Robin. “There is no greater pleasure than educating others and knowing you are a positive influence and motivator in someone’s life and career.”

Dr. Robin is Professor of Clinical Medicine and an Associate Dean at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, of which Stamford Hospital is a major teaching affiliate. A physician for over 40 years, he is Stamford Hospital’s Chairman of the Department of Medicine. Dr. Robin has also taught at Harvard University and New York Medical College. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and has served as a member of the Connecticut Chapter’s Governor's Council.
