Comprehensive Diabetes Education Classes (a series of three sessions) will take place in Danbury at 41 Germantown Road, Suite B03 on Thursday, March 8, March 15, and March 22, from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Classes are taught by Certified Diabetes Education and most classes are covered by health insurance. For more information, and to register, please call Joan at 203-739-4980.

New Milford Hospital’s Plow to Plate Program in collaboration with The Pratt Nature Center will host a “Walk and Talk: A Community Conversation for Families and Individuals” on Sunday, March 18, from 2 to 3 pm. Each month a special guest from an array of professions including fitness, medical, mental health, education, substance abuse, nutrition, farming, veterinary and political, will lead families and individuals in an outdoor “adventure” around the lower fields of the Pratt Center. Western Connecticut Health Network (WCHN) will present a free health seminar on “Fueling the Fabulous Female” on Tuesday, March 20, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm at the Riverbrook Regional YMCA Activity Center, 404 Danbury Road in Wilton. On Tuesday, March 27, a free health seminar presented by WCHN will discuss “Advances in the Management of Knee Pain & Replacement.” The program takes place at the Riverbook Regional YMCA Activity Center, 404 Danbury Road in Wilton, from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Featured Speaker will be orthopedic surgeon Michael M. Lynch, MD of OrthoConnecticut, Coastal Orthopedics of Norwalk, Darien and Westport.
