William Raveis Real Estate kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month

William Raveis Real Estate is opening Breast Cancer Awareness month with a bang. In addition to record fundraising at the company’s annual charity golf tournament last month, William Raveis offices will be holding nearly 100 fundraising events throughout the northeast in support of the American Cancer Society Patient Navigator Program, which helps support patients through the emotional, financial and physical stress of breast cancer. To date, William Raveis has raised nearly $1.7 million in support of this important cause.

“I am humbled by the efforts of our company as a whole to support those fighting breast cancer,” said Bill Raveis, Chairman & CEO of William Raveis Real Estate. “We have had a record year thus far and intend to continue this successful trend through year’s end.”

Raveis is referring to the most successful golf tournament the company has ever had, held last month and raising over $20,000. In addition, the firm’s 80 offices are all organizing creative events throughout the northeast to raise funds. Some of the highlights are as follows:

Connecticut

Wednesday, October 10th- Stonebridge Restaurant Breast Cancer Event at Stonebridge Restaurant, 50 Daniel Street, Milford, CT

Tuesday, October 16th-Farmington Office Breast Cancer Tapas Cooking Class at Barcelona Wine Bar, 971 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT. Cost is $40 per person. Contact rob.saelens@raveis.com

Friday, October 26th-Zumba for a Cause at Intensity, 490 Westport Avenue, Norwalk, CT. 7:30-9pm. $20 in advance and $25 at the door

Massachusetts

Monday, October 15th, Breast Cancer Event at Terry O’Reilly’s Pub, 45 Union Street, Newton Centre. Tickets are $25 per person (include appetizers and 1 free drink). Live Music, Pink Drinks, Silent Auction and Dancing

Monday, October 29th Comedy for a Cause, 5:30-9pm at Quan’s Kitchen, 871 Washington Street, Hanover, MA

Saturday, December 1st- Holiday Bazaar at Back Bay, Boston. The Back Bay office will sell unique holiday gifts and all vendors will donate 10% of their proceeds to the William Raveis Charitable Fund. Contact scott.beane@raveis.com for more information

New York

Saturday, October 13th, Breast Cancer Raffle tickets to be sold at the high school football game. Email susan.Meters@raveis.com for more information.

In addition to these local events, William Raveis will be leading corporate fundraising initiatives. On Thursday, October 18th, William Raveis will be holding its annual “Breast Night Ever” event from 5-10pm. William Raveis staff will serve as “guest bartenders,” “waiters” and “waitresses.” Every dollar raised will help support The American Cancer Society.
