DANBURY, CT - Killian Jampierre, a Staples High School student, has donated an assortment of handmade hats and scarves for the Spratt Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Danbury Hospital.

Jampierre’s donation was the focus of a community service project for her Westport school. She has a love and passion for knitting and wanted to give back to pediatric patients this holiday season. Executive Director and Vice President of the Foundation, Grace Linhard stated, “we are so thankful for the wonderful donation and appreciate all the time she put in to making these items for our tiniest and most fragile patients here at Danbury Hospital.”

As a result of Jampierre’s efforts, she has been inducted into the Western Connecticut Health Network Kids Care Club at Danbury Hospital, a philanthropic organization for children and young adults under the age of 18. For more information on the Kids Care Club, please call the Western Connecticut Health Network Foundation office at 203-739-7227 or 860-210-5270.

About The Kids Care Club
The Kids Care Club at Western Connecticut Health Network encourages children under the age of 18 to make donations in support of pediatric programs and services at Danbury Hospital and/or New Milford Hospital. Donations help purchase toys, videos/movies, video games and systems, and more to make children’s hospital stays more comfortable. Children raise funds in many ways, including: asking friends and family for donations; organizing penny drives, lemonade stands, or other events; raising funds in lieu of birthday gifts; or donating a portion of their allowance.
