Whale release Pelech from PTO

HARTFORD, CT - Connecticut Whale general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced Thursday that the Whale has released forward Michael Pelech from his Professional Tryout agreement. Pelech will rejoin the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.

After being signed by the Whale February 7, Pelech dressed for seven games, going scoreless and Even with eight penalty minutes and three shots on goal.

The Whale’s next action is on home ice, tomorrow night, Friday, March 1 vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:00 PM. As at all Friday-night Whale home games, fans that night can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers at the XL Center until the end of the first intermission.
