HARTFORD, CT - August 25, 2010 - The Hartford Wolf Pack today announced the team’s schedule of games for the upcoming 2010-11 American Hockey League season.

The Wolf Pack’s 14th season of AHL play commences with the home opener at the XL Center Saturday, October 9 vs. the new Charlotte Checkers. Faceoff is 7:00 PM. Prior to joining the AHL for the 2010-11 campaign, the Checkers were the Wolf Pack’s ECHL affiliate.

The gala home opener is the first of 14 Saturday-night home dates for the Wolf Pack in 2010-11, and the Pack will also play eight Friday-night home games and ten Sunday home contests. The rest of the home schedule consists of six Wednesday nights and a pair of Tuesday-night games.

Faceoff for all non-Sunday home games is 7:00 PM. Sunday home dates face off at 3:00 PM, except for November 7 against Bridgeport, which is a 7:00 start, and November 28 vs. Adirondack and April 10 against Norfolk, both of which face off at 5:00 PM.

Once again this year, the Wolf Pack’s schedule is tailored to highlight their strong New England rivalries with familiar Atlantic-Division opponents. The Pack will see their GEICO Connecticut Cup rivals the Sound Tigers 10 times (five home and five away) during the season, and will also play traditional rivals Springfield and Providence 10 times each. The Wolf Pack will play the rest of the Atlantic Division, Manchester, Portland and Worcester, eight times each (four home, four away).

Season tickets for the Wolf Pack’s 2010-11 AHL season are on sale now. For information on season seats, and all of the Wolf Pack’s many ticketing options, visit www.hartfordwolfpack.com, or call the Wolf Pack ticket office at (860) 548-2000 to talk with an account executive today.
