Sound Tigers sign three to AHL contracts for next season
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced that defenseman Mike Dalhuisen and forwards Riley Wetmore and Greg Miller have agreed to terms on American Hockey League contracts for the 2013-14 season. In addition, the Sound Tigers have announced that Wetmore has signed an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO) and has joined the team in Portland in time for tonight's game against the Pirates.

Sound Tigers close season with 4-1 win over Pirates
Brock Nelson scored his 25th goal of the season on the power play with 3:47 left in regulation to set a Sound Tigers single-season record for goals in a season by a rookie, and forward Riley Wetmore’s first pro goal ended up being the game-winner as Bridgeport defeated the Portland Pirates 4-1 at Webster Bank Arena on Fan Appreciation day on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Sound Tigers finish the 2012-13 season with an even .500 record of 32-32-7-5 overall. Portland concludes its 2012-13 regular season with a 41-30-3-2 record.

Providence blank Sound Tigers 3-0
Providence goaltender Michael Hutchinson made 37 saves and forward Matt Lindblad had two assists as the Bruins shut out the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 3-0 at Webster Bank Arena on Saturday night. With the win, Providence improves to 49-21-0-5. The Sound Tigers drop to 31-32-7-5 with the loss.

Sound Tigers forward Ryan Strome scored at 7:02 of the third period to tie the game at one, but Pirates forward Chris Brown scored the eventual game-winner with 8:23 left in regulation and added an empty-netter as Portland defeated Bridgeport 3-1 at the Cumberland County Civic Center on Friday night. With the win, the Pirates improve to 40-29-3-2. With the loss, the Sound Tigers fall to 31-31-7-5 overall and have been officially eliminated from playoff contention.

Whale sign two to ATOs

Pirates forwards Brett Hextall and Lucas Lessio scored in the final 2:43 of regulation to force overtime, and Chris Brown scored his second goal of the game 26 seconds into extra session as Portland came back to beat the Bridgeport Sound Tigers 5-4 at Webster Bank Arena on Tuesday night.
