Southbury, CT - The Watermark at East Hill is pleased to announce the recent addition of Scott Bemish as Director of Sales for the retirement community, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.

A native of North Carolina, Bemish worked for more than two decades as a television producer and host before making the transition into the senior living industry. Prior to The Watermark, he served as the executive director at a community home in Alabama for adults with intellectual disabilities. Most recently, Bemish supervised the sales and marketing efforts for a retirement community with properties in both Alabama and Florida.

Bemish’s primary responsibilities as Director of Sales include educating and informing prospective residents on the different living options offered at The Watermark and building lasting relationships with current residents.

For Bemish, however, the most satisfying aspect of the job is his daily interaction with residents of The Watermark.

“One of my favorite things about The Watermark is how it provides our residents with a charming, small-town feel of a home and neighborhood – not something you find at every continuing care retirement community,” said Bemish. “I look forward to continuing to offer prospective residents the opportunity to experience everything our wonderful location has to offer.”

A graduate of Lenoir College in North Carolina, Bemish lived in Northern Alabama for 25 years until relocating to Connecticut in January. In his free time, you can find him exploring different parts of his new home state. Bemish’s wife and college-aged daughter currently live in Alabama, but have plans to move to Connecticut within a year to start their new life in the Northeast.
