Union Savings Bank appoints Teresa Costa to small business lender

Union Savings Bank President and CEO John C. Kline is pleased to announce the appointment of Teresa Costa to the position of small business lender.

“Teresa has developed an extensive record of accomplishment during her seven-year career with Union Savings Bank,” said Kline. “She will be a great addition to our small business team. I also applaud Teresa for her active engagement in the community in support of our Mutual Bank mission.”

As a small business lender, Costa will be located in the Galleria and will develop and manage small business commercial account relationships in the greater Danbury area, handle new loan requests and coordinate and underwrite all loans in conjunction with Union Savings Bank’s credit administration.

Costa has worked with Union Savings Bank since 2001. Previously, she was a senior credit analyst with Union Savings Bank’s credit administration. She has also served as a commercial services assistant, junior credit analyst and credit analyst during her time at Union Savings Bank. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in management at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, Conn. In addition, Costa is a 2008 graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management.

Costa is a resident of Danbury, Conn. where she serves on the board of the Western Connecticut Association for Human Rights (WeCAHR), a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the quality of life of adults and children with disabilities. She is also a member of “Portugal Canta e Danca,” a Portuguese folk dance group affiliated with Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.
