Richard Blumenthal, the Connecticut Attorney General, won his bid for the U.S. Senate seat currently occupied by Senator Dodd. His Challenger, Linda McMahon, conceded the race a couple of ours after polls closed Tuesday night.

Blumenthal has been leading the polls by double digits throughout the whole race, although in the past few weeks, McMahon was able to advance and close in on him.

McMahon, the former CEO of WWE, was the GOP hopeful to pick up a seat in the U.S. Senate and pored close to $50 million of her own money in her campaign.
