Republican Party-endorsed candidate for Connecticut Attorney General Martha Dean received the endorsement yesterday of Madison Republican Town Committee Chairman Tom Banisch. Banisch is another of the many local Republican leaders from the all around the state pledging their support for Dean in the upcoming GOP primary on August 10th.

“There’s no question - the critical issues for Connecticut today are the economy and jobs,” Banisch said. “Martha knows this, and knows what needs to be done at the Attorney General’s office to end the hostile work environment in Connecticut for law-abiding businesses and individuals.”

Banisch added, “Martha’s a tough and experienced lawyer who will refocus the Attorney General’s office on its core legal mission. She’ll cut out the waste, political grandstanding, and job-killing abuses of the past twenty years. I’m proud to support her, and urge all Republicans to support her as well.”

Dean thanked Banisch for his support. “Tom’s both a businessman and a long-time community volunteer, and he knows first-hand the burdens that Connecticut is facing,” she said. “I’m proud to earn his endorsement and promise that as Attorney General, I’ll devote my full efforts to help get Connecticut back on track.”
