Always at the leading edge of media innovation, Canaiden Media, publisher of Stamford Plus and Norwalk Plus magazines and the Canaiden Online Media Network, is one of the first magazine publishers in the United States to employ the new Microsoft Tag technology as yet another way of integrating print and digital content for its readers.

The new Spring 2010 issues of Stamford Plus and Norwalk Plus magazines feature small color bar codes, both on the cover, as well as next to some of the article and editorials inside the publications, which allow readers with Internet-enabled camera smartphones to easily access additional relevant online content after downloading an application from Microsoft at gettag.mobi.

“We are always looking for ways to enhance our communication with our audience,” said Naiden Stoyanov, publisher of Stamford Plus and Norwalk Plus magazines. “The Microsoft Tag will enable us to further connect our print and digital outlets for an even better cross-platform experience for our readers.”

According to Mr. Stoyanov, the company is planning on using the new technology in future issues, as well as other marketing collateral.

“Canaiden is a media company, not only a magazine publisher. Our job is to help promote the conversation between members of the communities we serve and we embrace any opportunity that allows us to facilitate this process,” said Mr. Stoyanov.

Since its launch in 2005, Canaiden has grown its portfolio of publications to include more than 10 brands, including two city magazines, one On Demand publication and a growing online media network.
