Iva Naydenova, the Online Coordinator for the Canaiden Online Media Network and Associate Editor of Stamford Plus On Demand magazine was inducted in The Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma on Wednesday at a ceremony at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT.
A junior at QU majoring in Advertising, Ms. Naydenova was one of only a handful of students that were inducted in the prestigious academic society whose members include many Fortune 500 executives and other distinguished professionals from all around the world. The society was founded in 1913 when three similar academic societies dedicated to honoring collegiate excellence in business at the University of Wisconsin, University of Illinois and the University of California merged.
After Dean Matthew O’Connor’s welcoming remarks, the inductees were presented with their membership certificates as well as the society keys.
Inductees are selected based on a strict criteria for academic success and performance and eligibility is limited to juniors, seniors and graduate students.
Ms. Naydenova was also the sole recipient of this year’s Beta Gamma Sigma Dean's Scholarship Award at Quinnipiac University for her academic and business achievements.
