Building Blocks Early Learning Center, LLC (www.blockslearning.com) has inked a 15-year, 18,061-square-foot lease for flex space at 59 Danbury Road in Wilton, CT. Michael Nelson of CB Richard Ellis’s Stamford office headed up negotiations on behalf of the tenant. RHYS Commercial Real Estate’s Christian Bangert represented the landlord.
With a facility at 72 Camp Avenue in Stamford, the new space allows Building Blocks Early Learning Center to expand its presence in the Connecticut market. “The build-out at 59 Danbury Road will include a large indoor gym, classrooms, game rooms and common areas,” said Nelson.
The 35,000-square-foot building at 59 Danbury Road, which is the former John Frieda skin care facility, had been vacant for a number of years. More recently, the new owners completed base building improvements, including new outdoor entrances, two large double glass doors, new windows and a re-paved parking lot.
Located on Route 7, which serves as a major thoroughfare connecting residential neighborhoods with commercial sectors and I-95, the property is an ideal location for families with child daycare needs. The tenant is scheduled to take occupancy in December 2011.
