Stamford, CT - Chelsea Piers Connecticut is pleased to announce that it is expanding its membership program to include a premier, world-class 65,000 square-foot health & fitness facility and clubhouse, slated to open Fall 2014. The members-only fitness facility – CP-AC Fitness – will be located in a previously vacant space adjacent to the current 400,000 square-foot Chelsea Piers sports complex.

CP-AC Fitness (CP-AC is an acronym for the Chelsea Piers Athletic Club, Chelsea Piers’ expanded membership program) will feature 25,000 square feet of strength and cardio equipment, a dedicated mind/body center for Pilates Reformer classes, multi-disciplinary and hot yoga, as well as traditional group fitness studios and dedicated space for triathlon and competitive cycling training . Group exercise will be taken to a new level with over 75+ weekly fitness classes and programs. Additionally, there will be a custom Queenax Bridge studio creating endless possibilities for suspension, boxing and functional training. Membership also includes access to the Olympic-sized pool, hardwood basketball courts, 1/5 mile indoor tack, indoor turf fields, plus tennis and squash courts, subject to scheduling and/or reservation.

In addition to world-class athletic facilities, members will enjoy significant benefits throughout the sports complex, including babysitting services, two beautifully appointed luxury lounges and cafes (one for families and one for adults only), steam rooms and saunas in new finely appointed locker rooms, and massage therapy rooms. Early registration privileges and preferred member pricing for sports programming throughout Chelsea Piers are additional benefits designed to meet the needs of the considerable family market that Chelsea Piers serves.

While membership is not required at Chelsea Piers, it is a great way to take advantage of everything Chelsea Piers has to offer. “We could not be more excited about the construction of CP-AC Fitness and the expansion of our already robust membership program,” commented Mollie Marcoux, Executive Director of Chelsea Piers Connecticut. “We believe this new facility will secure Chelsea Piers Connecticut’s reputation as the premier sports facility in the United States. CP-AC Fitness is inspired by our highly-rated sports club in New York and the cutting-edge fitness programming will be unmatched in Fairfield County. With our unparalleled range of sports and fitness offerings for the whole family, Chelsea Piers provides members with unique opportunities to reach their dreams, goals and ambitions.”

CP-AC Fitness is expected to open Fall 2014. Individual, Family and Senior memberships are available and can be activated immediately or on the date CPAC Fitness opens. For membership information, please visit our website, www.chelseapiersct.com/join or call 203.989.1200.
