William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance has provided all of its 80 managers with an iPad 3, the latest tablet offering from Apple. This is one of many current initiatives the top national brokerage is taking to ensure mobile is pervasive in company daily activity and growth.
“Mobile communications are a daily part of business and life,” said Bill Raveis, Chairman & CEO of William Raveis Real Estate. “As a core service provider, we believe it is essential to cater to our customers-buyers, sellers and agents-where they want it most, their mobile phones and tablets. By providing all of our managers with what is arguably the best tablet on the market, we are leading a top-down culture shift from the traditional brick and mortar real estate model to a mobile, seamless experience. It is not only enhancing our business and contributing to growth, but creating a more effortless internal communications environment.” William Raveis continues to lead during major technology shifts, as it did in 1990, enabling its agents and clients to better conduct business via laptops.
The iPad offering is an extension of what has been a 3-5 year shift at William Raveis from desktop to mobile technology. The release of William Raveis Agent Dashboard in late 2010, the first free-to-agent mobile CRM, marketing and lead generation tool, was a major step towards ensuring agent communication stayed consistent on all wireless devices. In addition, the company is moving from the traditional cubicle layout in offices to a more sophisticated, clean look, complete with docks for charging mobile devices and presentation rooms furnished with technology to conduct presentations from tablets. As a result of this strong push towards mobile, William Raveis was named as the “Most Innovative Brokerage in the Nation” in 2011 by Inman News, the leading online real estate technology & finance publication. Weekly and monthly meetings with the management team from across the northeast are now more interactive, as technology concepts discussed can be tested with iPads.
“We have also initiated a company-wide campaign entitled, “Mobilizing Real Estate,” Mr. Raveis continued. “We make sure to enhance the impact of our firm initiatives by supplementing them with strong marketing campaigns. It is important that our clients and the public know how we intend on conducting business. One of the ways we do this is through constant activity on social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and YouTube.” The company’s Facebook and Twitter pages contain headline and skin images of the “Mobilizing Real Estate” campaign.
