Gene Pride joins CBRE as Senior Vice President

Gene Pride, a recognized leader in the commercial real estate industry with an extensive background in investment sales, has joined CB Richard Ellis as Senior Vice President at the firm’s Stamford office. Mr. Pride will spearhead the Stamford Private Capital Group (PCG), which handles the sale of assets valued between $3-15 million throughout the northern suburbs of New York City including Westchester and Fairfield Counties.

In this role, Mr. Pride will be working closely with CBRE’s New York Institutional Sales Group, which is led by Jeffrey Dunne and also includes brokers Steven Bardsley, Kevin Welsh, Chris Leonard, David Gavin and Brian Schultz. The announcement was made by Robert Caruso, Senior Managing Director of CB Richard Ellis’ Westchester/Fairfield operation.

As head of CBRE’s Stamford PCG, he will utilize his vast expertise in the investment sales market to assist investors achieve maximum value in the sale of their assets. Mr. Pride represents a number of high-profile private investment firms, family offices, pension fund advisors, REIT’s, life insurance companies, special servicers and lending institutions.

A veteran of the commercial real estate market for nearly two decades, Mr. Pride is an expert in the sale of office, retail, multifamily and industrial assets across the country and has arranged transactions valued at approximately $1 billion and provided property underwriting and analysis for transactions totaling approximately $4 billion.

His approach to underwriting, marketing, and closing transactions utilizes an institutional approach to selling non-institutional real estate. This includes thorough preliminary property analysis and pre-marketing due-diligence, producing professional quality marketing materials, orchestrating a competitive bidding environment, and managing an expeditious contract negotiations and closings.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Pride was a senior executive of Cushman & Wakefield’s investment team in Colorado. During his career he has earned consistent recognition from both NAIOP and ICSC as a leader in investment sales.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Pride speaks regularly on industry panels at trade events and writes for a number of regional real estate publications. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
