NORWALK, CT - On Assignment, Inc., a leading global staffing provider, has signed a seven-year lease for 5,986 square feet of office space at Malkin Properties’ MerrittView, according to Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president of Malkin Properties, the marketing and managing agent for the building.
The tenant will relocate this winter from 1175 Post Road East in Westport, Conn., to its new office on MerrittView’s sixth floor. Malkin Construction will build out the space for the tenant.
“On Assignment and its subsidiaries Assignment Ready and Oxford Global were looking to relocate within the suburban Connecticut market, along the Route 7 corridor,” says Jeff Gage, managing principal of CresaPartners, who brokered the deal on behalf of the tenant along with Rick Pearson. “The firm immediately recognized the location and quality of MerrittView, and that played a significant role in the selection of its new regional office. MerrittView offers a quality business location that the firm feels will enhance its presence in the suburban Connecticut market.”
On Assignment has been placing skilled, hard-to-find professionals in the growing life science, technology and healthcare sectors on a temporary, project or permanent basis since 1985. The company is headquartered in Calabasas, California, and has a network of approximately 80 branch offices throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium and China. The staffing consultants also place physicians in Australia and New Zealand.

Built in 1985, MerrittView is an eight-story, 255,000-square-foot Trophy office building located at the intersection of Route 7 and the Merritt Parkway, near the Norwalk/Wilton border, with immediate access to Route 7, Exit 40A and 40B of the Merritt Parkway, and the Metro-North Commuter Railroad.
