Major lease signed in Stamford

Thomas L. Rich, Managing Partner of 33 Broad Street Associates, an entity affiliated with the Stamford, CT based F. D. Rich Company and the Kahn family of United and Rex Realty announced today that the Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse has signed a lease for a 7,100 SF, 240 seat restaurant space at 5 Broad Street, Stamford, CT. The location is beneath the 180,000 SF Stamford Target Store and 1,000 car parking garage next to Citibank and the Indigo Hair Salon. Nearby neighbors include UConn, Trump Parc, the newly completed BLVD apartments, Napa & Co., the Courtyard by Marriott, Barcelona Wine Bar, Bar Taco and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Mr. Rich stated, “We are very pleased to have Rodizio Grill added to the impressive roster of restaurants already flourishing nearby in downtown Stamford. We have been searching for the ideal fit for this space for some time now and it’s true that good things come to those who wait. We are really looking forward to their opening in early 2012”.

Rodizio Grill is a full service authentic “Brazilian style steak house” featuring over a dozen rotisserie grilled meats, perfectly seasoned and carved tableside by Brazilian Gauchos. This is complimented by authentic Brazilian appetizers, salads and deserts along with an expansive wine and beer selection.

The Principals for this franchise are James Layfield, Tri State area franchisee for Melting Pot Restaurants, Edward Zislis, Renee Torres and Basel Al-Nammari, also Managing Partners and owners of other Melting Pot locations. They have the exclusive franchise rights to Rodizio Grill for CT, NY, MA and RI, and have a Rodizio Grill opening in Braintree, MA, followed by the Stamford, Connecticut location scheduled to open in mid January 2012.

Ownership was represented by Francine S. Manfredi of the F. D. Rich Company.
Edward Zislis of Keller Williams Realty represented Rodizio Grill on this deal.
