The first tenants to move into Norwalk’s Townhome-style apartment community called Summerview Square will join the developer, home builders, city and state officials and the West Main Street Neighborhood Association to celebrate “Community of the Year.” This prestigious award was given to Summerview Square late last year by the Home Builders Association of Connecticut (HBACT), the state’s leading home building industry association, and part of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The Celebration will take place on Thursday, June 16 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 4 Summer Street in Norwalk.
In addition to the celebration, the evening will mark the official opening of the second phase of the 63-unit combination apartment and rental townhome community, a first-of-its-kind in Norwalk. Currently, 13 units in the first phase are fully occupied and the second phase will offer 8 units for lease.
The developer, Summerview Square, LLC of White Plains and the construction and property management company that represents the developer, Summerview Development Group, have all worked together with the West Main Street Neighborhood Association to preserve the rich history and the look and feel of the neighborhood. The celebration will offer an opportunity to bring tenants, neighbors and builders together to honor this award-winning partnership.
“Being recognized as the top residential community in the State of Connecticut is truly an honor that reflects the supreme collaboration of the developers, builders, the City of Norwalk and the neighborhood association that have supported Summerview Square from the beginning,” says Andrew J. LaSala, Jr., partner of Summerview Development Group.
Summerview Development Group has also received two Home Building Industry Awards (HOBIs) for Best Rental Community and Best Rental Unit from the state home builders association, who selects the best in class in Connecticut for excellence in design, construction, remodeling, and land development.
The majority of the construction work has been handled by contractors and service providers who are members of the Home Builders and Remodelers Association (HBRA) of Fairfield County.
Located near I-95, each apartment home is equipped with energy efficient GE appliances, central air conditioning and heating, hardwood floors, walk-in closets, storage space, washer-dryers, and two bathrooms in the two- and three-bedroom units.
