Norwalk, CT - Thomas L. Rich, President and CEO of F.D. Rich Company, joined Norwalk dignitaries and civic leaders to celebrate the ground breaking of the Sono Pearl Apartments, a 66 unit residential apartment building, complete with 154 valet serviced parking spaces, located in the heart of the historic Sono neighborhood.

Mr. Rich greeted fellow ground breakers to the event, which coincided with the project commencement. Joining Mr. Rich in the dedication ceremony were: Mayor Harry Rilling, Mayor, City of Norwalk; State Senator Bob Duff; Felix Serrano, Chairman, Norwalk Redevelopment Agency; Ed Musante, President, Norwalk Chamber of Commerce; Rev. Holly Adams, United Congregational Church, Norwalk.; Councilman Travis Simms; Nate Sumpter, Commissioner Norwalk Zoning Commission and Joe Santo, Chair, Norwalk Zoning Commission.

Donning hard hats and yielding ceremonial ground breaking shovels, the officials welcomed the Sono Pearl to the neighborhood. “Sono is a wonderful and welcoming waterfront neighborhood,” stated Tom Rich. “People want to come here to live in beautiful surroundings, take advantage of this unique, waterfront lifestyle, and dine and shop in upscale restaurants and stores. We look forward to welcoming new neighbors to The Sono Pearl.”

Centrally located in Fairfield County with easy access from I-95 and Metro North, SONO offers a welcoming waterfront and an unmistakable urban vibe that makes the area an ideal place to live, work, dine, learn, shop and play. The Sono Pearl was designed by Lessard Architects with construction being handled by the F. D. Rich Construction Company. The project is slated to be completed in June of 2015.
