Stamford, CT - Announcing another "first," the Loft Artists Association in Stamford invites youngsters from 7 to 14 to spread their creative wings this summer at a series of eight free art workshops. The program runs from June 28 to August 23 and will feature printmaking, beading, painting, screenprinting, collage and more — all taught by the LAA’s professional, award-winning members.

In-person Registration is required; available every Saturday from 1 to 4:30 pm at 575 Pacific Street, 2nd floor. A fee of $5 per workshop covers all supplies and materials. A selection of art will be featured in a special Gallery Event in September.

“It’s all about having fun and taking your imagination on an exciting trip,” says President Ellen Gordon. “Thanks to many generous private donors, we’ve been able to expand our community activities and launch this new program for the public.”

Admission and parking are free. (A donation is suggested.) Handicapped access is available on Saturday and Sunday. For directions and more information visit or call 203-323-4153.

Sponsored in part by The City Arts Partnership Program Grant; David Martin, Mayor; The Connecticut Office of the Arts, Louis J. Kuriansky Foundation, Harbor Point, Laurel House, Safavieh Home Furnishing, Norwalk Vault Company, The Stamford Advocate, Robert and Patricia Phillips, Eileen H.
