NORWALK, CT - Led by talented museum educators, summer workshops at Stepping Stones Museum for Children present fun-filled learning opportunities in a one-of-a-kind interactive setting that will ignite your child’s imagination. This summer, Stepping Stones offers three summer workshops for children ages 7-11.
A brand new workshop July 9–13 will teach students how to create their own comic book. From building characters, plotlines and settings to writing, illustrating and publishing, participants will give life to the superheroes and heroines of their imagination.
The museum’s second summer workshop will explore the magic of puppetry July 16–27. Participants will sculpt and costume their own rod puppet, write an original script, build a set and record a soundtrack. This two-week Puppet Theater workshop culminates in a performance on the museum’s stage for family, friends and visitors.
Budding scientists will find the museum’s final workshop of the summer thrilling, as they design, build and launch their own rockets, all while learning about the science of flight. The museum’s Rocket Science workshop will be held July 30–August 23.
All summer workshops are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information is available online at www.steppingstonesmuseum.org.
