Darien, CT - After a successful 2012 Summer Tennis Camp season that hosted more than 100 junior players, registration for Kings Highway Tennis Club’s 2013 Summer Camps is now available. Morning sessions, Monday – Friday, will feature a 12 and Under Camp. The afternoon sessions will feature a Junior 12-17 Camp.

“Our Summer Camps have always been a staple of our summer programming,” said Barb Cavaliere, who is the manager of the facility. “We are thrilled to offer our communities’ children the opportunity to stay active throughout the summer at our Club.”

Children in the 12 and Under Camp will use the 10 and Under Tennis format. “It has revolutionized the game and helps our teaching professionals enhance the experience for our younger players by making success achievable at a faster rate, The courts are smaller and easier to cover, the ball bounces lower and more slowly, and the racquets are easier to grip and swing for children’s small hands,” Cavaliere commented.

The Junior 12-17 Camp will include intensive tennis instruction, stroke and movement drills, singles and doubles strategy, exciting drills, and plenty of fun.

All programs consist of 10 individual weeks starting June 10 and ending the week of August 23. For the 12 & Under Camp, two juniors can be registered for the price of one.

To sign up for the 10 and Under Camp, Junior Development Camp or the High Performance Camp at Kings Highway Tennis Club, call 203-838-9110.
