In his own right, the lead singer for YES, the highly popular progressive rock group, is a consummate singer/songwriter, guitarist and harpist. TESS – Talent Education Suzuki School of Norwalk will present a free “hands on” family concert at the East Norwalk Library, Van Zilen Community Hall on Thursday, July 29, starting at 5:30 pm. The performance will be followed by a free Pizza Party contributed by Norwalk Pizza and Pasta, and refreshments. Becki Christopherson, TESS Music Director, explains, “We encourage our students to share their music regularly with the community. The HBO award-winning documentary film “Sergio” will be presented by The Ridgefield Playhouse Film Society’s Documentary Film Series on Saturday, August 21, at 7:30 p.m. at The Playhouse. The special guests for the post-screening Q&A are U.S. Army Master Sgt. William von Zehle, who stars in the documentary, and HBO producer Nancy Abraham. Von Zehle is a Ridgefield resident and former Wilton Fire Chief (1987 – 2002).
